After 35 years service The Queen Elizabeth 2 hands over the trans-atlantic crossing crown to the new Cunard flagship Queen Mary 2. There hasn't been two Queens together in Southampton for 37 years, this was a truly special day.
The QE2 is now heading of to Germany where she will be refitted before preparing to sail once again on routes in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean, Northern Europe and South America. The QM2 has already started her Atlantic Schedule and with a bit of luck both may well appear together in the port of Southampton again!
